1. General Safety Statement
PlayMomento provides commercial-grade soft play equipment intended for supervised use only. All risk control measures rely on full compliance with the Company’s Terms & Conditions, including supervision, age limits, and correct usage.
2. Identified Risks & Control Measures
Supervision Risk : Injury due to inadequate supervision
Control Measures:
- The Client is responsible for supervision at all times
- PlayMomento does not provide childcare or supervision
- Recommended supervision ratio: 1 responsible adult per 5 children
- Failure to supervise constitutes misuse under the Terms & Conditions
Age & Suitability
Risk : Injury from age-inappropriate use
Control Measures:
- Equipment is strictly for children aged 6 months to 5 years
- Older children are prohibited from using the equipment
- No exceptions are permitted under any circumstances
Equipment Use
Risk : Injury or damage due to misuse
Control Measures:
- Equipment must be used only as intended
- Shoes, food, drink, face paint, slime, sharp objects, or jewellery are prohibited
- Equipment must not be moved once installed
Hygiene
Risk : Spread of germs or illness
Control Measures:
- Equipment sanitised before every hire
- Children who are unwell must not use the equipment
- Excessive cleaning requirements are chargeable under the Terms & Conditions
Outdoor Use
Risk : Weather-related hazards
Control Measures:
- Outdoor use permitted only in dry, suitable conditions
- Equipment must be placed on flat grass or appropriate surface
- PlayMomento reserves the right to cancel or terminate outdoor hires due to unsafe conditions
3. Incident Procedure
- Minor incidents: Managed by the supervising adult
- Serious incidents: Emergency services contacted by the supervising adult
- Equipment use must cease immediately if safety is compromised
4. Residual Risk
Residual risk is considered low, provided all Terms & Conditions and supervision requirements are followed.
PLAYMOMENTO – HIRE AGREEMENT
This Hire Agreement forms part of and must be read in conjunction with the PlayMomento Terms & Conditions.By confirming a booking, the Client agrees to the following:
1. Responsibility
The Client accepts full responsibility for:
- All Participants
- Any supervising adults
- Compliance with all safety, age, and usage rules
2. Supervision
- Adult supervision is required at all times
- PlayMomento does not supervise Participants
- Lack of supervision constitutes a breach of the Terms & Conditions
3. Age Restrictions
- Equipment is strictly for children aged 6 months to 5 years
- Older children are not permitted to use the equipment
- Breach may result in immediate termination of the hire without refund
4. Equipment Care & Use
The Client agrees:
- Equipment must be used only as intended
- No shoes, food, drink, face paint, slime, pens, glitter, or sharp objects
- Equipment must not be moved or altered
5. Damage, Loss & Cleaning
- The Client is liable for loss, damage, or excessive cleaning
- Charges will reflect repair, replacement, or specialist cleaning costs
- Normal wear and tear excepted
6. Liability
PlayMomento accepts no liability for injury or loss arising from:
- Misuse
- Breach of age limits
- Inadequate supervision
- Failure to follow Terms & Conditions
7. Agreement
By proceeding with a booking, the Client confirms acceptance of:
- This Hire Agreement
- The PlayMomento Terms & Conditions (which take precedence)
PLAYMOMENTO – AGE LIMITS & SUPERVISION POLICY
Age Limits
- Suitable for children aged 6 months to 5 years only
- No exceptions
- Older children are strictly prohibited from use
Supervision Requirements
- Continuous adult supervision is mandatory
- Recommended ratio: 1 adult per 5 children
- Supervising adults must remain within the play area
Behaviour & Use Rules
- No rough play, pushing, climbing, or misuse
- One child per feature unless designed for shared use
- Shoes must be removed; socks worn at all times
Health & Hygiene
- Children who are unwell must not participate
- No face paint, body paint, glitter, slime, or messy substances
Enforcement
PlayMomento reserves the right to:
- Suspend use immediately for safety breaches
- Terminate the hire without refund for non-compliance
- Recover costs arising from breach of policy or T&Cs
